Welcome to Wash Party. By accessing or using our website, participating in a neighborhood wash party, or opting into our communications, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Service Description

Wash Party facilitates group discounts for neighborhood exterior cleaning services. We coordinate scheduling and bulk pricing for participants on the same or adjacent streets. The actual cleaning services are performed by our operating partners.

2. Communication Policy (SMS & Email)

By providing your phone number and email address and opting in during registration, you consent to receive communications from Wash Party regarding your service, party updates, and account information. We use Twilio for SMS messaging and SendGrid for email communications.

SMS Opt-In & Consent

  • Program Description: Wash Party sends SMS messages strictly for transactional purposes, including reservation confirmations, payment links, deadline reminders, service day updates, and captain notifications.
  • Message Frequency: Message frequency varies based on your party's timeline and your role (captain vs. participant). You will typically receive 3-5 messages per party.
  • Pricing: Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan.
  • Opt-Out Instructions: You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After opting out, you will receive one final message confirming your request, and no further SMS messages will be sent unless you re-subscribe.
  • Help Instructions: If you need assistance with our SMS program, reply HELP to any message, or contact us directly at hello@washparty.net.

Email Communications

  • We use email to send detailed quotes, receipts, party status updates, and post-service review requests.
  • You may unsubscribe from non-essential promotional emails by clicking the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of the email.
  • Please note that even if you opt out of promotional emails, we may still send you critical transactional emails related to your active reservations or account security.

Privacy & Data Sharing

We respect your privacy. Your phone number and email address will never be sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their promotional purposes. Your contact information is shared only with our trusted communication providers (Twilio and SendGrid) and our service operators strictly for the purpose of fulfilling your Wash Party service.

3. Payments and Deposits

When joining a party, you may be required to pay a deposit to secure your spot and lock in the group discount. Deposits are processed securely via Stripe. Our refund policy for deposits is outlined in our Cancellation Policy.

4. Limitation of Liability

Wash Party acts as a coordination platform. While we vet our operating partners, Wash Party itself is not liable for any property damage, delays, or service disputes arising from the actual cleaning services. Any claims regarding the physical service must be directed to the operating partner performing the work.
